Mark Haas of Phoenix, AZ has been involved in SVOs for years.  He has a 1985 1/2 Comp Prep Mustang with Leather Seats (very rare). The car is in great shape and is always garaged.
Mark also just aquired 86 SVO Comp Prep (old SCCA race car) with 2,913 miles on the clock. Mark wrote, "I got everything from the original tires to the driver's EKG graphs. I haven't done anything to it (haven't even cleaned) the interior is out of the car so I'll have to store it". (7-1-98)

When I last visited him, he showed me what could be the ultimate engine for our SVO.  Below are pictures of a FORD ZAKSPEED ROUSH GTP 2.1L EFI TC DOHC RACING ENGINE. Reported horsepower on the motor was 600 horsepower!

Mark wrote, "The fact that the bell housing for the Zakspeed wouldn't fit a T-5 ish
tranny stopped me. The GTP car used a Hewland. Big BIG bucks."

Mike Fleming wrote the following on the engine:

Just in case you're interested, the turbo'd 2.1L DOHC "Evolution" engine used in the GTP and RS200 cars were rated at 600 BHP in full race trim. Ain't gonna make more than that on petrol - and the numbers go way down with alcohol since the compression ratio would be too low.

Thanks, Mike!
