Powderhorn Resort and Snowmass Resort - March 2010 - click pictures to enlarge
Rollin and I headed west to ski Powderhorn and Snowmass resorts.
March 18, Powerhorn Resort. Sunny skies, low 50°s in the afternoon.

The trees to the west of the Mudslide run (Powderhorn
trail map) had a path marked by orange ribbons on the trees.
The path led to a cleared run below Thunder Mountain
Glades that had a bunch of fun terrain, see next two photos.
Looking up the Thunder Mountain Glades run from
Tenderfoot, this run looks like it could be hiked to from the West End lift.
Great trees skiing!

March 19 - Snowmass Resort - We arrived at the Town Park shuttle lot with 4" on the ground. The lot assistant said it had started snowing at 7am and had been dumping ever since.
Rollin's first ride in a gondola.
We stopped for lunch at the top of Big Burn, it just
kept snowing.
